Drop in to the Credit Union!
The North London Credit Union, a not-for-profit financial co-operative, run on behalf of its members and supported by Enfield Council has announced some permanent, new drop in days at Edmonton Green and Ordnance Unity Centre libraries, which will be followed a couple of weeks later by a regular afternoon at John Wilkes House, Ponders End.
The sessions will allow anyone interested in finding out about ethical finance to find out more about the credit union, open savings accounts and apply for loans, as well as join their prepaid card partner, credEcard.
The sessions will run between 12.30pm to 4.30pm on:
From 04/02/15 – Edmonton Green Library: Wednesdays
From 05/02/15 – Ordnance Road Unity Centre: Thursdays
From 17/02/15 – John Wilkes House: Tuesdays
Cllr Alan Sitkin, Enfield Council’s Cabinet Member for Economic Development said “I welcome the North London Credit Union having these ongoing drop-in days so that even more residents can access their services.
“Credit unions give ethical lending and financial opportunities to people who are often refused help by banks, and give real solutions to those who would otherwise turn to payday cash companies and loan sharks.
“Spread out across the borough these sessions make it easier for consumers and small businesses alike to access finance easily.”
