EnfieldThinks- Enfield’s first pop-up learning shop- is coming to Enfield Town from April 7th-June 27th 2015.

EnfieldThinks will promote the educational options open to all Enfield’s residents whether they’re starting a career or trying to gain the qualifications they need to try a new one. We want to educate and entertain, whilst raising aspirations and broadening horizons.

We will be based at unit 3 Burleigh Way (click here for a map) and the shop will open from 10am-8pm, Monday -Saturday. Our partner organisations- Birkbeck, University of London, Barnet & Southgate College,CoHENEL (formerly CONEL) and Capel Manor College – will deliver a series of thought provoking events designed to inspire and engage.
Our event schedule will include lectures, debates, workshops and film screenings on a variety of topics ranging from floristry to politics. Each week will relate to one of ten themes: happiness, leisure, technology, futures, history, politics, environment, money, health and enterprise. The events will be led by leading academics from Birkbeck, University of London and the Further Education Colleges, as well as representatives from charities and members of the local community. All EnfieldThinks events will be free and you can register your interest here.
We’re recruiting a team of EnfieldThinks volunteers to help staff and organise the event. If you’d like to get involved or you’ve got an idea about how we can use the space, please email liam.preston@enfield.gov.uk for more information.
